Wisdom for the Sons: Power of Choice

Revelation 13:16,17:  And he causeth all both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name.

My sons, the most important word in those two Scriptures is the word "causeth".  Cause is not make.  Make is to force someone to do something.  Cause is to set the atmosphere and allow them to make a choice to engage the thing that has been set.   The devil cannot make you do anything, period.  The reality is he sets atmospheres and traps to capture you by appealing to your soul and carnal nature.  The mark of the beast is not some microchip but it is presently here but that is for another conversation.  He cannot force you to do anything without your consent.  So it comes down to a choice.  When you choose to follow your soul, you fall into the devils trap. However when you choose to follow the spirit, the Spirit gives you vision into the traps that they may not snare you.  My beloved sons, choose the spirit.

Wisdom for the Sons - Present Day Help

Psalm 108:12,13:  Give us help from trouble for vain is the help of man.  Through God we shall do valiantly for He it is that shall tread down our enemies.

My son, we all will cry out for help because we are the sons of God and we will have to confront our adversaries.  Understanding that we do not fight flesh and blood our natural methods for understanding how to fight will do us no good when confronting the demonic.  We need the wisdom of God and know that if we obey Godly wisdom and instruction the victory is guaranteed.  Remember, greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.  Notice in the Scripture it say "through God" so we do not trust in our own strength to fight this battle but in the grace of God when encompassed by the enemy.  My son, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  The victory has already been won….walk in the confidence of His Word!!

Wisdom for the Sons: Instruction

Proverbs 4:13: Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

My sons, it has been constantly said that "experience is life's best teacher"  I beg to differ according to this Scripture.  Instruction is life's best teacher.  When we go by experience we learn the hard way and we go the long way around only to come back to instruction.  Submit to those who have been given grace to watch over your souls.  Hear their instruction and follow them.  It will save you so much heartache and headache when you obey the instruction of God.  The instruction of God can come from Him directly but many times He sends it by the fathers over the household you belong to and also other sons.  Amazing one of the five-fold graces is the grace of a teacher and you do not hear much about that grace but God says take "fast hold" of instruction.  My son, hear the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding (Proverbs 4:1).

Wisdom for the Sons: Servanthood

John 13:14,15:  If I then, your Lord and Master have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.  For I have given you an example that ye should do as I have done to you.  Verily, verily I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

My sons, the washing of the disciples feet by Jesus was one of the greatest shows of humility and service in the Bible.  Here we have God in the flesh washing the feet of men.  In this example we are being called to always remember no matter who we are, what rank, or position we have in the Body, nobody is above servanthood.  Leaders are called to set the example and by spiritual fathers serving the sons, the sons see the same humility and character of servanthood that the Lord gave us as an example.   Let us remain in the position of humility because God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.  Yes, you are a son in your Father's House but you serve your Father as His son.

Wisdom for the Sons: Peacemaker

Matthew 5:9:  Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God

My son, one of the major characteristics that separate the sons of God from the world is the ability to be a peacemaker.  We are not called to be the cause of strife and confusion even though those who reject the Word of truth may become contentiious but our sharing the Word of truth is from a position of love.  When we look at the world so many are looking for peace in a world of strife and confusion and you may even be looking for that peace.  One of the major arena's God will teach us this characteristic is in relationships with others who have hurt us.  Reconciling and making peace with these people is one of first steps in maturity.  Do not let past relationships continue to hinder your future progress.  Be a peacemaker because in being that you are called a child (son) of God.

Wisdom for the Sons: Character: Humility

Matthew 5:3: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven

The Scriptures say that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.  The Scriptures also say the "pride" of life, the belief that I can do it on my own, is not of the Father.  If we desire to lay hold of our inheritance who is the Father then we must humble ourselves.  Even when we receive revelation, receive it as a child and share it with love.  When we are humble it is easier to learn the ways of the Father.  This is the first character trait Jesus taught the multitudes on the mount.  The religious leaders carried so much pride to a point that they could not humble themselves before the King of kings in the flesh.  My son, pride will cause you to miss wisdom and revelation but most of all it will keep you separate from the Father.  Let us not be prideful and high-minded but humble and meek because it is the humble that will inherit the Kingdom and the meek that will inherit the Earth.  In this you are Blessed!

Wisdom for the Sons - Success

Joshua 1:8:  This book of the law shall not depart out of the mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is  written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success.

The world has defined success based upon material wealth and power but as Sons of God success is defined by maturity.  Maturity is achieved by hearing and obeying the Word of God.  Notice in the Scripture, Joshua was told to meditate day and night AND do all that is written and when he did both of these you shall have good success.  The success from God is eternal and cannot be corrupted by the world.  The success of the world can be here today and gone tomorrow because it is controlled by man.  We as sons should desire the success from our Father because in the end I want to her "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT".   My son, study the word and obey the word because you are guaranteed success for his name's sake.

Wisdom for the Sons: Provision

Philippians 4:19: For my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory By Christ Jesus.

There is another way to live in this earth and as a Son of God you are to display this economy of grace in our daily lives.  The Scripture states God shall supply according to His riches.  Jesus states: Your Heavenly Father knows you have need of all these things.   Let us leave the mentality of the orphan of seeking our own way, especially provision.  We have a Heavenly Father who knows all and knows what you need and will supply.  That is a guarantee by Him.  You must trust Him and put all your faith in Him.  God brought bread to Elijah by birds…..God gave the disciples their tax money through the mouth of a fish…..  How much more will God meet your need today?   My son, He is your Father, trust and obey Him.
