Romans 12:17,18: Recompense
to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If
it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men
My beloved sons, it is so
easy to want to get revenge but the Scriptures instruct us not to do evil for
evil but as much as you can live peaceably with all men. This is hard I
know but remember the Lord said “Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the
sons of God” Eye for an eye does not reconcile relationships but
only drives them further away and the Scriptures say we have been given a word
and ministry of reconciliation, Yes the reconciliation is back to God but
our goal is also to reconcile broken relationships within the Body.
My son, let us not seek
revenge but seek peace and in many case you must forgive…..until you love
again.
